When we learn to listen to a child’s emotions, we teach them to listen to their own.

Our mission

little beings is a resource created to help young adults learn tools to be more conscious parents through understanding how their own childhood impacts their parenting.

Our pillars

The core areas Little Beings focuses on to support secure, emotionally attuned caregiving.

  • Safety is the foundation of healthy attachment. Consistent reassurance, supportive boundaries, and predictable environments help a child’s nervous system settle. Familiar places and comforting objects offer additional grounding, while responsive caregivers model how to notice and name emotions. Giving children vocabulary for fear and other big feelings builds emotional understanding and deepens their trust in the people around them.

  • Self-soothing develops as children learn to understand their internal cues and regulate their bodies. Simple tools like counting or breathing exercises help them settle during moments of overwhelm. Guiding children to identify their needs and offering age-appropriate coping strategies gives them practical ways to manage stress. A “same-team” approach reduces conflict and helps them feel understood, and when caregivers listen with consistency and curiosity, children learn to listen in return.

  • Social skills grow through consistent connection, modeling, and gentle guidance. Reward systems and learning by example help children understand how to relate to others, while skills like sharing and apologizing build empathy and cooperation. Noticing signs of social anxiety, overstimulation, and natural limits helps keep interactions supportive. With attuned structure, children gain confidence in themselves and their ability to connect.

  • Caregivers deserve support as they navigate the meaningful but often challenging work of raising a child. Parenting is an ongoing learning process, and offering yourself recognition for your effort helps build resilience and softens self-criticism. It’s also natural for old childhood experiences to surface along the way, making some moments feel more difficult than expected. Having trusted people who can listen, reflect, and hold space for your struggles creates an essential layer of support that strengthens both you and your child.
